Rethink your self-perception. Through fitness that inspires rather than puts pressure on you, you may develop self-love, confidence, and a positive outlook. Because strength, not size, is the key to your quest.
Engaging in physical activity can help you feel better about your appearance. When individuals feel strong and healthy as a result of fitness, their confidence may increase as well. Body image is also a mental construct; thus, liking one's body no matter what one looks like is what is most important.
When someone has a healthy body image, they feel good about what they look like, even if they do not feel they are perfect. They do not think about or compare themselves too much to others. They treat their body with care, respect, and kindness.
A healthy body image means you like and accept your body as it is. Exercise can build this by showing you what your body can do (like get stronger, move better, and have more energy). And when you exercise with intention and focus on feeling good rather than looking good, working out becomes an act of self-care, not self-punishment. Think positively, set goals, and have fun moving as you work on building a healthy body image from the inside out.
A healthy body has many different looks; a healthy body can be big or small, tall or short. What's most important is how you feel from the inside. When you feel healthy, you feel you have energy, sleep well, and perform all of your regular daily activities without pain or distress.
The three types of body types are:
Ectomorph (thin and lean)
Mesomorph (solid and strong)
Endomorph (curvy and soft)
Everybody is different, and all types can be healthy with the right care and habits.
